Launch command file on the server

Hi !

I am currently searching for create a button in my QV application which launch another application/batch file on my server.

All is alright when I am in QV desktop mode on the QV server but it doesn't work when I am accessing from the Webserver portal (Ajax). The web server sends the .cmd file to my web browser instead of launching it on the server.

Do you have an idea about how run my cmd file on the server ?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

In fact, the prompt seems to be launched on my client not on the server.

Very tricky to carry out such simple thing

No other possibility? I searched for adding an ASPX page on the server but it seems to be impossible without another IIS server ...

Hi,

First, what browsers are going to use the users? If IE, then there is no problem, IT people should configure the browsers to let this application work without prompting. Any other browser, second thought.

Hope that helps.

Hi all,

I had found one way to do this.

First of all create a button which exports a dummy file on the server.

Create a scheduler task to monitor the existence of the dummy file

if the file exists and run the batch file which trigger the qlikview task..

Hope this ll help you
