Online Dashboard not reloaded

Hello,

Since last week, i can't see my dashboard modification on Chrome ? (same things for others navigators)

Here is what i do :

- I open a .qvw document

- I do modification

- I reload the document by pressing Ctrl+R

- I save the document by pressing Ctrl+S

- I open the management console and i reload the dashboard

- I open the document with Chrome but i don't see my modifications ?

- I reboot QV server => nothing changes

- i delete the Chrome cache => nothing changes

I always can't see modifications.

Any ideas of my problem ?

Sure it's strange ... some fews days ago everything work fine ...

If you make the change directly in the qvw, and then don't reload from the QMC, does the modifcation then go through?
I'm thinking that the change might be overwritten when you reload and distribute the document.

When you run the task it will reload the document from the source folder (QMC > System > Setup > Distribution Services > General > Source folder) and if it's set to distribute, it might then overwrite the document that you just edited.

I did a simple modification in my document, then i saved it.

when i try to look at it in Chrome i've got an error message because i use restrited access file.

so i can't see the result, i need to reopen it and reload and save to see it.

and the source folder seems to be ok

But you have mounted a Document folder and are using the same one as a source folder?

What if you modify so you have a separate source folder, reload and distribute the document to the mounted folder, that is not source folder

And you are using that folder as application data folder as well?

You should change that so that you have a isolated Application datafolder that you don´t store qvw at all in.

I would start with getting a proper setup so you have everything in order so you know what file is being modifed to what folder.

As now, you modify source documents that are also being hosted to Accesspoint

Hello I had the same problem a while ago,

I changed a dashboard and the change has not appeared online.

Also, if I removed a dimension from a table, online I took it off and if I tried to add it again, online did not see me.

Solution: Ctrl + C on the modified object-> Removing the object-> Ctrl + V-> Save-> Reload the document from a task on server-> ALL APPEARS MAGICALLY!!!

Could you explain me the difference about theses folders and where i can configure it ?

Hi,

The reload has failed and that is the reason the document is not being updated.

6089197 Error The Source Document was NOT reloaded successfully.

Need to log at the document log to see where the failure happen in the script. If there is section access applied to the document you need to make sure the service account has full rights to all the data.
