Power-tool -- works fine on one server but not on the other ... help

I have the powertools on both of my servers. On one server it all works fine, but on the other server it is not.

Strange thing is that it all worked fine on both servers 2 weeks ago.

I checked the group 'QlikView Management API' is available for the user ... this is the case.

The error which occurs:

The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'.

What am I overlooking?

thx in advance!!

Hi Anita,

What powertool are you referring to? There are several ones.

Also, what are you trying to do, with is the intent?

Erik

the powertool i'm referring to is the qv-user-manager ...

strangely it partially works again ...

I removed the security group 'QlikView Management API', created it again and assigned my user to this group again.

Hi Anita,

When removing and adding the group again with the same name, it will have a new SID generated. This will have an impact on permissions.

I understand that, but don't see why that should be the problem ...

I created the group myself, because of the PowerTools ... so if I remove it and then add it again shouldn't be a problem?

Might be that something corrupted the SIDs or any references. Hard to tell without a deeper investigation. But yes, that should solve the problem.

Probably a corruption in the ACL for that user.

If you investigate Windows System logs, you probably can see what happened.
