Qlikview for iOS "Unable to authenticate"

Hi!

We have a strange issue.

We use qlikview web server and application for iOS. Authentication type - NTLM. Also we use https protocol (port 443). Everything works normally through web-browser on PC and mobile. But, when we connecting to the server trough iOS mobile application, it shows error: "Authentication Failure. Unable to authenticate."

There is settings of Web Server:

General

Port: 443

Use https - ok

Authentication

Authentication: Always

Type: Ntlm

Login Address: Default login page (browser authentication)

Please, help to solve this issue)

Hi,

If you are using IIS, you can try to set all the virtual folders to anonymous. Then in the QvAjaxZfc folder set the Authenticate.aspx to Windows authentication.

Have the same issue. - With SSL

Windows 2008r2, 64 bit, QV Sever SBE  SP6

QV WebServer NOT IIS

using port redirection on router to send 443 requests to the QV Server

Using Safari from iOS, is no issue, the login appears and using normal domain login allows access to the QVW.

However using the MOBILE iPad/iOS version I have seen 3 issues.

1) If I do manage to get into a file, it reports there are no bookmarks and so will not download for Offline use (there are bookmarks)

OR

I cant get in and I get one of the following

     2) Authentication Failed

     3) Error downloading the document list

UPDATE: >>> I have just uninstalled and download what I assume to be a newer edition V2 (Jan 2014).

This seems to have removed issue for item 2 and 3, but the bookmarks issue remains.

Also in another post I asked "How to remove defined AccessPoint values - still cant see that option.

Update 2 : A second iPad,, this time a MINI, this has V2, thisexhibits the issue 3. Error Downloading Document List

UPDATE ON : Error downloading the document list

I have found that one reason for this can be an incorrect AccessPoint Definition.

When Calling QV from Safari : I needed https://xxxx.xxxxxx.co.uk/qlikview

When using the MOBILE, I did not need qlikview on the end

Mike,

Did you installed the Offline Service in your Qlikview server? Also, have you add the "attributes" on the document you want to download the bookmarks?

Check the reference manual, pg 4
