Reload fails in every few days

Hi Community,

We are using QlikView Version 10 and reload takes place through QMC.. I have observed that the reload process fails in every few days. It can fail in 2 days or 7 days... Today also when I opened QMC I found the TASK failed. I manually tried to run the task but no use it failed again.. I restarted the QlikView Services and again tried to reload but the process failed again.

This is now happening frequently and I have no good reason for this failure which I can give to the client.

Require help from the QV Community on the above.

Many Thanks

Hiiii gaurav.khare3046,

1.  Please enable the log file at Qvw:

Document Properties => General tab => Genearate Log file.

check out the log file if you have any script error.

2.  The QV Server version SR 3 has bug of reload failure. Check the Log files for the Task.

3.  Check the script about the table Drop.

Hi Nilesh,

There shouldn't be any sort of script error and I' am sure of it. Something else is creating problems which is still undetermined.

Hi Community,

The root cause of the above mentioned issue is still unknown. The QlikView reload fails time and time again and on further investigation I found that the one of the primary extraction qvd got corrupted.

These failures are normally taking place in the early morning hours

I sorted out the problem by replacing an existing back up of that qvd and then the process went on fine.

But the above is not a concrete solution to my problem as this is just a work around that I have been doing.

The log files generated are not conveying any good and precise information and it only say at the end 'GENERAL SCRIPT ERROR', but I know that nothing was done to the scripting part.I' am not able to landup into a concrete solution for this and most importantly it's root cause.

What anyone in the community make out some possible reasons for it.

It can be a network glitch or something.

What should be the preventive steps that I shouldbe taking to avert this kind of failures in future.

Regards

Gaurav
