Using Triggers with EMC reload

Hello,

I have developed a module that sends reports my email: On realod (using document triggers) a macro is run, opens another module (which holds the requested chart), exports the chart to excel and sends the excel file by mail.

When i realod the module manually on the Desktop client (installed on my server) the module works fine, however when i try to realod it via EMC, the macro does not run and the mail is not sent.

Do macros or triggers not applicable when reloading from EMC? does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

Nir

Hi, Nir

The onReload trigger is disabled on the server.

The work-around you be caling the QV desktop to perform the reload using Windows Task Scheduler.

The syntax can be found on the QlikView Reference document.

On the QV 10 SR2, it's on the page 41.

I attached this part of the manual here.

Hope it helps,

Erich

Hello

OnPostReload does not work when loading via a service (publisher or DistributiionExe or server).

Another opyion is to create a VBS file with the macro (there are examples on the community) and trigger this as an external task.

Good Luck !
