What is "qvb.exe"?

Hi,

one of our IT specialists has just sent me an email with a screenshot saying that a process "qvb.exe" filled a large part of the working_memory of our server at some point ?today?, thereby causing everything to everything_but_crash - There have been mayor server problems, that's all I know.

Can anyone tell me what that process is? There is a thread about this that I've found, but it stops short because it was resolved without an answer.

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

DataNibbler

Hi Leonardo,

I thought so. Thanks for confirming!

That is very strange, though, as I am not aware of any mayor changes in any of the qvw's.

I guess it was a one-off malfunction as it did not show up again since. Let's see what it looks like on Monday.

Unfortunately, we keep only the very last log_file of every Qlikview_app on the server (for reasons of memory_space), so unless I can "catch the culprit redhanded", there is no chance to decide just which log_file I have to look into - we have about 20 qvw_files scheduled for automated reload - tendency on_the_rise.

Best regards,
