Dashboard becomes unusable, and I am forced to restart the server.

Hi experts, one of our dashboards becomes unusable and crashes. I have to restart the server whenever this happens (once/twice a week). Users can't make selections and it is on a timer

Hi Mariano,

Please give us more detail regarding the below points:

  • server that you have installed QlikView (memory RAM, CPU, single server or cluster)
  • What qlik version did you have installed
  • Go to the C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer and find the logs, check the logs of the day that you had the problem, if you wanted to do easy this task I recommend you to install the Governance Dashboard, that app give you an excellent way to check the errors when the server fail or check the memory ram available, the CPU, the number of users that access to the dashboards and to much more things, you can download from the qlik.com, services->custom downloads->Qlikview and finally governance Dashboard

Please give us this information and we can tell you an answer. But I guess that the problem is any biggest dashboard that is freezing you server.
