Go to Solution.
1. Create the Button
2. Go to the Actions Tab
3. Press Add
4. Select Action Type: External
5. Select Action: Open URL
6. Press OK
6. Fill in the URL:
http : / / someserver / documents / somePDFfile.pdf
7. Press OK.
I do what you say me but it's not running.
A message say me : "the document is not here or it was deleted or renamed".My file is on the server in this adress : C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\fichiers
So when I create the url I write : http://myserver/Documents/fichiers/myPDFfile.pdf
Is it right ?
Petter solution is right on the money. However, I want to warn you that there is a bug that will stop this from working correctly. What release are you running.
I try to open effectively acrobat reader but I've got a message "it's impossible to open the document because it was damaged or is not taking in charge".My version of product is : 11.00.11282.0 SR1 64 bit edition (*64)
Thanks for your response.
That is a very old version released 3 years ago. I am not sure if it will work with that release.
Did you create a virtual folder in the Webserver to store the PDF in?
