Header authentification for performance testing with Jmeter

Hello,

We are trying to use the Jmeter tool to run some performance tests, however, there seems to be a problem with the way the authentification is set up (NTLM by default). The people at the scalability center suggested we configure it to use the Header authentification instead. Could someone please explain how this must be done? If we want to test with multiple concurrent users (say 10 for example), how do we go about that?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Olga

Thanks a lot, Daniel!

This is what we ended up doing.

We crated a bunch of local windows accounts, and checked the authomatic cal distribution optoin in the QMC. This is working , almost . In the session log, we can see the users connect and the licences being assigned , but when it comes to executing a scenario, another error appears ,something about not having the right extensions installed on the server. Only we are not using any extensions.... I've seen there are a few posts about this issue as well ... Complicated, the Jmeter!

Sorry, I haven't seen that error before.

Are you using the tool published by the scalability team? http://www.qlikcommunity.com/docs/DOC-2705

Yes, yes we are.

We're still trying to figure out what is up

Well, it seems to be working, despite the extensions error. Takes some time for the session log to generate though.

Session log entries are generated once the session finishes or times out, that's probably why it's taking some time. You could try lowering the timeout setting.
