How to disable scheduled reloads for all documents

Hi all,

we have some dozens of reports for which we have scheduled automatic reloads through

Management Console -> Documents -> Reloads -> ...

We will face some maintenance windows the next days due to work on the servers. Thus we like to deactivate all automatic reloads (we prefer to have no reload at all instead of some reloads depending on when the servers will be up again).

Is there a global switch or do I have to disable the reloads for every document individually?

Thanks in advance,

  Andreas

If work is expected to be carried out, then stopping the QlikView services is sufficient, unless you do not plan on having all services stopped at the same time and will have the Distribution Service running, while for example the QlikView Server service is still offline.

 Stopping the Distribution Service will at all times stop any triggers from being executed, and there will not be any "buildup" that it will try to catch up with once it is started. It will simply begin at the next scheduled trigger based on its current time.

 Should you still wish to disable triggers though: While not specifically a feature in the product right now,  this is possible to do by manipulating the QlikView QVPR.

 As with any modifications to the QVPR, ensuring that a backup of the files is available is crucial. Note that the QVPR does a backup every day, but it's always good practice to verify that a backup exists should something go wrong.

Hi Sonja,

thanks for your quick reply!

For my case stopping the Distribution Service seems to be the best solution.

(And in fact I really appreciate the fact that the management console gives a warning the RelaodEngine is currently down.)

Cheers,

  Andreas
