How to prevent losing connections over the large data set export?

Hello,

I need help to export data on the local machine from the server as a flat file using button (Action/Export/etc).

When I have quite small amount of data it opens it in IE instead of saving on the disk. In case of the large data set it's just idle for a while and produces message “Lost connection to server”, Also, message boxes don't work at all.

Hi Boris,

In the C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\WebServer you can try to edit the config.xml file and increase the QvsTimeout settings to see if that will help. However, the export function isn't really meant for large data sets.
