Issue: "Document log was not found / not updated. Skipped." Though we've enabled Generate log option

Hi All,

Document log is getting generated randomly under Distribution log folder; in application root folder, log is getting created properly.

Version: QV10 SR2

Issue: Document log was not found / not updated. Skipped.

For some runs I could see the log files under distribution log folder.

***Generate document log is enabled. ***

Thanks..

Did anyone found the rootcause of this issue? We are also facing the similar issue. Logfile is not getting generated though "Generate Log file" option is checked.

Hello Guys, It could be possibly QV10 SR2 build version issue. Please double check the Release notes of SR2 and SR3 build versions.

Hi Saravana,

Do the model actually run through successfully when there is no log file?

Reason why I'm asking is that we experienced this as well and I found out that there are more documents reloading at the same time than what is allowed to run concurrently in QlikView Management Console. Meaning that the model does try to run through Management Console but because it reached this limit it doesn't actually run at all. You can see this in the task details under QlikView Management Console > Status > Tasks > "Your Model" > Show Task Details.

Where you can change this setting is here: System > Setup > QlikView Servers > "Your Server" > Performance > Max Concurrent Reloads.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Marius

After the server restart logfile was generated asusual.

Saravana,

For any chance do you have antivirus or backup process that might be holding the document log? For best performance, Qlikview is recommended to exclude  whole Programdata/Qliktech folder of the antivirus.
