Log of clicks per chart

Has anyone developed a way to track how many clicks each chart gets within a server document and/or who clicked on it?  We have a document that we found on this forum several (>3) years ago that parses the QlikView Server logs for number of clicks per user, session login times, etc., but we would really like to be able to tell which charts are being used and which ones are not.

Okay, it took me 3 days, but I think I found a way to do this (anyone, please feel free to tell me if there is an easier way, because this will take quite a long while to set up for each KPI chart on our dashboards - around 250 of them!).

i did a qlikview file last week using qlik logs as data . I analyzed which file "users" used, how many click they did and which selection (bookmark, selection, print, report, send to excel, sheet....). it could be a interesting work. My intentions is to sell this file with the qlikview analysis.

Is the actual chart that someone clicked on in the logs?

To put this more in QlikView terminology (I only spend about 15% of my time in QV), I think that what I might be looking for is an OnActivate action for each Sheet Object to log the ObjectID activated.  Even with the most verbose logging, this doesn't seem to be in the log files.

Hi, you can use audit log

You can download the QvServerPerformance to help you understand, read and analyse this and the other log files

Maybe you still need to enable this log file

in QEMC, go to system -> Setup -> Open the QlikView Server Details -> Select you QV server service -> On the right go to the loggin tab and enable audit log

(there is a print screen here> http://community.qlik.com/qlikviews/1029#comment-1473 )

Hope this helps,

Erich

Thanks, Erich.  This is turned on for our server and the Audit Log is actually what I was looking at.  We're still on version 10, so maybe this has changed in 11.  The Audit Log on our server only logs other actions for a sheet object (print, export, sendtoexcel).  What I would like is access information (maximize or activate) for each sheet object; the log doesn't seem to have that.
