Hi,

You can do reloads without publisher under the Document Tab in the QMC.

On the security question you can use NTFS permissions (have to set at the OS Level), DMS (add users under the document tab in the QMC) or section access. The most secure is section access and the reason for that is the NTFS and DMS doesn't follow the qvw. If someone copies the qvw to their desktop they can open it. With section access they would not be able to.

Hi,

Yes it is possible to configure schedule reload without Publisher. Please refer to Server Reference Manual.

For security, if you want data reduction based on log in, handling within qlikview application is easy to maintain than in publisher.

write batch file. "C:\Program Files\QlikView\qv.exe" /r "D:\Finance.qvw" ,and add task schedule in your system.

either via a batch script using QV.exe, or with QlikView Server
