I am in the process of upgrading from 8.5 Enterprise to 9.0 SR5. I did all the prep work and started the Pub Upgrade tool after starting just the Directory Service Connector service.
It gets me to the screen where it shows the distribution service and the directory service connector URL. However , the URL is in Red. When I hover my mouse over it, it says "could not contact this dsc".
Yes, it was on the same machine running the dsc. I was actually able to resolve this issue. The problem was with the DNS.
However, one issue still persists. Users are able to access Accesspoint only by using the ip address. When they use the host name, they see a blank page. I have updated the hosts file in the server. What am I missing?
