QlikView Server EE - Access Point LOGIN

Hello,

I would like to force user to login when they open the http.//.../qlikview URL.

Only those users to be able to login who already have a CAL.

I do not get this in the moment.

All I get is a Sign-In button and when I click on it, I see the documents.

How can I force a User Login prompt ?

Kind regards

Dieter,

A few questions, in the case you have not solved this issue yet:

1) Are you using QVWS or IIS?

2) Is your server configured to run in NTFS or DMS mode?

3) Are you using Section Access to control document security?

Hi,

Authentication is a function of the OS. There is not way that you can do that without writing your own portal using the QV API.

Hi Dieter,

Not sure if this is what u r looking for but u can go to ur IE -> Tools-> Internet Options.

Go to Security Tab -> Custom Level -> At the bottom of the page  there is something call User Authentication -> Logon -> Prompt for user name and password.

Please not that this feature is not supported by Qlikview Licensing Policy (One user one cal).

I know that would work, but you would have to touch each users machine. The second thing he doesn't want you to be able to login unless you have a Doc/User cal.

Bill,

correct.

Pre1     No need to touch individual user machine

Pre2     Acceptance of UserId/pwd ONLY, if CAL exists
