Reload of QVWs using Server alone but without Publisher?

Hi all,

Is it possible to refresh/reload  the qvw applications without Qlikview Publisher using Qlikview server alone? If Yes, please elaborate HOW?
Also, please let me know which will be more efficient: Giving security in Publisher or with in the qlikview application?

Hi,

Yes it is possible to reload qvw files using qlikview server.In qlikview management console go to documents and select a document and go to reload tab and configure reload time.

Hi DMohanty,

  It's Possible to reload the document through the Qlikview Server without Publisher.

Follow Below Steps:

Step1 : Open Qlikview Managment Console

Step2 : Goto Documents Tab, Choose the document and then right hand side you will find the Reload Tab.

Step2 :  Goto That tab Schedule the Timings.

It is possible.

That's how the tasks have been triggered before QlikView Publisher was introduced.

Go to User Documents and after clicking on a particular qvw, you can see the options for Reload/Schedule on the right hand side.

In my view, security applied on the application rather than from publisher is more secured as the publisher distributed qvw document may not have security.
