qvs.exe memory usage problem

Hallo,

the service qvs.exe needs a lot of memory although no document is opend. It increases every day. Today it needs 6 GB. What can I do to empty it without stopping and restarting the service.

Thank you very much Dirk. I'll try to empty the cache with this. But first I have to find someone with admin-rights to change registry settings.

I tried setting the "ClearCacheTimesPerDay" value to 24 in the registry as you suggested and bouncing the QVS.

I'm not seeing entries in the events log relating to cache, and no reduction in the size of memory used by the QVS.

Should I see any log entries indicating that the cache has been cleared?

Also, were did you find these registy entries? Is there documentation outlining the registry entries?
