I tried the following to delete licence but it doesn't work:

- stop all servicies

- delete "c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\qliktech\publisher\commandCenter\publisher LEF\Publef.txt" (windows 2003)

- strat all servicies

but the licences still here !!!

Hello!

Did you ever find a way to do it?

I need to remove Publisher License since it is running as a Trial and will expire tomorrow Saturday... I think it will just stop reloading the tasks, and that is why I want to disable the feature and leave it working as usual without Publisher.

Please, anyone, let me know if you know how to go about this.

Miguel.

Ok, The way to do it is:

1. Stop QlikView Services

2. Delete the following files:

a. C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\Publisher LEF\PubLef.txt

b. C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\reginfo.txt

3. Start Services.

Mike.

Once you license Publisher there isn't a good way to remove the license short of an uninstall, folder cleanup and a reinstall.

Hi Gents,

I just had a similar challenge this evening and thought I would share. I'm using QV11 SR1 so this may not work for prior versions.

1) Stopped all QV services

2) Searched for PubLef.txt and RegInfo.txt on the install drive C:\ (These should both be within the Management Services folders) basically searched for files containing the licence number and inspected the contents.

3) Deleted both files

4) Started services again.

This worked for me but of course make sure you have a way to reverse the steps just in case it does not work for you or it causes unexpected results.

Cheers.
