Best way to load big table from Salesforce

Hi:

I am having trouble loading the Task table from Salesforce because it is getting too large.

Not sure if it's Salesforce or the Qlikview server, the connection is very slow or even timeout when it comes to Task table.

I was trying to breakdown the Task table by year and wondering would that be a good way to do?

And what would be the best way to write the script for this purpose?
