Blank inside variable or blank inside a field of a selected cyclic group

Hi,

i´m trying to get the selected field of a cyclic group into a vaiable

=getcurrentfield(Diagram_Group)

so far so good...this works with e.g. Value Age_Begin_Grp or Vehicle_Age_Begin_Grp

but as soon as is a blank inside the value e.g. Calculation Model Code it doesn´t work anymore and the variable has no value.

Any ideas how to prevent this or work around?
