Can you create a .qvd from a web query .iqy file?

Is it possible to create a .qvd from a web query .iqy file?  Will someone please explain.  Thanks

Use the .iqy to create an excel file, load the excel file in qlikview and finally store the loaded table in a qvd.

Thank you for the suggestion Gysbert.  I actually opened up the .iqy file in Notepad and found the connection information that I needed to link directly from my .qvw to the SharePoint data source.  This article proved very helpful.  I used a slight variation of the second method mentioned.  Reading Data from Sharepoint lists into QlikView

Hi,
You can read the .IQY as same as you read the excel flat file and save it as .QVD format.
