Crosstable and orphan records

Experts,

I was trying to load a qvd file with a cross table transformation , it created so many orphan tables.

The solution was to put a where clause 1=1.

I was wondering why its creating orphan tables and why its not happening with the WHERE clause?

This orphan happens when you make a crosstable load in an optimized load.

Using the "Where 1=1" as you comment, makes the load of the qvd no longer optimized, fixing the problem. Any where clause is going to be enough to avoid the orphan problem.
