Dimension is hiding

Hi there,

I'm trying to do a chart where time is dimension and I would like to have the newest items on the right hand side. The problem appears when I get more and more dates and have to change the chart size. It appears that the left side is locked and the right side gets hidden when I change chart size. I would like to have the it the opposite way. Is this possible?

Thank you in advance.

Hi regalgrz,

could you post your actual qvw or failing that, a screen shot illustrating the issue?

Thanks

A quick option would be to Properties > Presentation tab > Chart Scrolling - Enable x-axis scrolling, when number of Items = nn....

The are two ways to overcome this :

Either fix the sorting to descending so that you have higher time values on the right

Or enable the x-axis scrolling (presentation tab)

Hi,

Go to chart properties -> Axes tab - > Under Dimension Axis select Continuous

Hi All,

Thank you for all your answers...

I know about scroll, but this isn't solution I need.

@Gabriel... your response is closer, but better effect I get by selecting Properties -> Presentation -> Bar settings -> show all bars & allow thin bars.

Still it does not answer my initial issue. When I have the newest dates on the right hand side and change the size of chart I loose them instead of the ones on the left side, which are older - this comes from sorting. If QV allows me to sort it both ways, why it does not allow to choose which side has priority to display?

I hope that's clearer now.

Thanks in advance.
