Distribution Service Down

Hi,

Till now Distribution service was working.. but now suddenly its not working also from Services.msc that service is not getting start.

Please help

Are you getting any sort of error message when you attempt to restart the service?

Error in Services.MSC while starting the QDS Service:

In Event Viewer found below log

"Startup failure. Read the log file and/or event log for determinating the cause of this problem. Note! The service must have sufficient permissions in Publisher Application Data Folder: "C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService". Exception=System.Exception: Could not start: CouldNotStartQVB

   at QDSMain.MainClass.Run()"

Was there some maintenance or update performed that changed ownership or permissions for the executable files for the service? Is the service account still in the relevant AD groups? Did you install antivirus?

Hi Jonathan,

Id has been added in AD group, also antivirus has been not installed.

QMC and other services working perfectly on IIS, we have updated Publisher Test License in QMC , it worked also , we have tested Triggered Task and Section Access Management.

But suddenly QDS stopped working.

please confirm in Qliktech Data folder publisher folder gets generate after applying license?

Try creating another user account to run QDS service.

Error has been rectified..

Found 4720 Port blocked, opened the same & restarted the services, after that found its working.
