Does QlikView come with OLE DB drivers installed internally in the app.

Relatively new to QlikView. I am looking at the scripting editor features and commands.  In Connecting to the database, in the data tab I selected OLE DB, checked the force 32 bit check box, established the connection to the database after selecting Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine. I was able to connect to the db no problem. My question is, are these drivers internal to QV?

I went into my ODBC Applet in the control panel and i don't have any drivers except for SQL Server?

Maybe because you´re using the 64bits version of ODBC applet, you can see both here

No, QlikView supports ODBC and OLE DB standard, but the driver themselves are the responsibility of the database provider. You'll need to get the driver from the database vendor and install it onto the machine running QlikView. As mentioned by Clever, depending on what driver you installed, it might appear in a different location.

Have you installed a 32-bit or 64-bit driver? Is it OLE DB or ODBC?

I don’t see them in the ODBC applet. Where else would they be?

Windows native data sources might work without driver installation but for other DBs like Oracle, Teradata, Salesforce.. etc you have to explicitly install drivers.

What are you looking for? Is there a particular data source you are trying to connect to?
