Error in opening the file after exporting a straight table to csv format.

Hi,

I have a straight table which i need to export it to CSV file.

To do this i follow following steps:

1. I have a qvw with the straight table and a macro written to export it to csv at a specified folder (I am using the IP address of the system in the path)

2. I am scheduling the qvw in windows task scheduler and reloading the qlikview app.

3. Post reload the csv file is created but when i try to open the file it says -  " The file you are trying to open is in a different format than specified by the file extension, do you still want to open it"

Can anyone help me why do i get this message and how do i resolve it?

are you getting same error if you use xls or xlsx instead of csv ?.

I have not tried that with excel as of now, any specific reason for tat.
