How to understand the SET expression for list Jan till Dec with out need to click on month=12 ?

Hi All

Below expression is working fine for last 10 year :-

Sum(Aggr(SUM({<year = {"$(=Max(year)-0)"},month={"<=$(=Max({<sales = {'*'}, year = {$(=Max(year))}>}month))"}}>}sales)/1000, YearMonth))

Can some one share with me the above expression.

For example :-
Aggr help to get monthly sales from Jan till Dec if Dimension YearMonth.
The first Max(year)-0 is get current year sales
{'*'} for what ?
The second Max(year) for what ?
End with YearMonth due to Aggr

That's some busy Set Analysis.  Not the busiest I've ever seen by far, but still.  I'm interested in what it's saying too.  It's kind of like when you are learning a foreign language and you can read and interpret the words, but you can't make out what the sentence is saying.
