Importing variables from excel

Hi,

I am trying to import variables from an excel .xls file into qlikview with no luck.

The format of the excel file is column A, variable name and column B variable contents

columnA    columnB

vDays         sum(days)

I have attached xls file herewith plz find it.

with this excel file you can export all variable in xls.

Found this post from a while back so doon't know if you are still responding. If so I really like your example above. However is there any way to get the "usage" field into the "comments" section of the variables or at least is available when hovering over the expression?
