Is a QVD always over-written?

I realize that this may be a rookie question but I want to ask it anyway - every time that I run my .qvw and store the result record set into a qvd, is it overwriting the existing data in that qvd, or is it appending?  Thanks.

You will overwrite your existing QVD.

If you want to append you'll have to make an incremental load (search the  forum for guidance on how you might code this)

Thank you Marcus.  I thought that was the case but just wanted to reaffirm.
