Issue in Include()

Hi,

I am using $(Include=abc.txt); in script and its working fine but its didnt show $(vThisYear) in variable for example

i define

set vKPI.MinimumOpeningSale.OpeningSale.zain=(Sum({$ <[Fact Type]={"Transaction"}, Revenue_Flag_Value={"1","-1"}, Year={$(vThisYear)} >} Price));

in abc.txt file.

but after reload its show me the variable vKPI.MinimumOpeningSale.OpeningSale.zain value is given below

(Sum({$ <[Fact Type]={"Transaction"}, Revenue_Flag_Value={"1","-1"}, Year={ } >} Price));

in qlikview, kindly guide me.

Re: Issue in Include()

You can break up the string in more parts:

LET vKPI.MinimumOpeningSale.OpeningSale.zain= '(Sum({$ <[Fact Type]={"Transaction"}, Revenue_Flag_Value={"1","-1"}, Year={$' & '(vThisYear)} >} Price))';

Re: Issue in Include()

Hi,

You need to assign some value to your variable before executing the include statement.

try this:

LET vThisYear=2011;

$(Include=abc.txt);

This will give you:

(Sum({$ <[Fact Type]={"Transaction"}, Revenue_Flag_Value={"1","-1"}, Year={2011 } >} Price));
