In what terms you say that they boost the performance?

Well they have some cons too.

1)s they are single threaded.

2) works sequentially and if you are pulling or writing any data in excel it does it cell wise hence it makes the working very slow

3)And macros doesnt work on the server when it is Ajax so better not to use macros

Hi,

Definitely they will consume some processing time. Macros have nothing to do with increasing performance.

thanks,

Hello Rgv,

Macros cannot boost performance in QlikView instead it might effect overall performance of your app. It also depends on complexity of your macro and how QlikView is understanding it, in may cases a simple macro will definitely give you quick response but complex cannot. Also the browser matters a lot while applying macro, sometimes it runs and sometimes it fails.

I will highly recommend you to avoid macros in QV until and unless its really needed.

Regards

Advait
