ODBC Connection to Oracle

Hi,

How do I connect to the Oracle Database using ODBC ? I did successfully with OLEDB Provider.

Please show me a way to do that.

What is the problem you encounter with ODBC?

And why not just use the working OLEDB connection?

The problem is I m not able to connect to the oracle database through ODBC. No datasource to point. I want to try ODBC Connection.

please create a  ODBCconnection to your database using DATA SOURCE in windows- administrative tools

Hi,

You have to create the

  1.create ODBC connection in Administartive tools-ODBC datasource with appropriate driver.

  2. Once it is created the ODBC data source will appear in Qlikview to use
