Removing duplicate entries

Hi All,

I have a multiple file data feed that I am trying to combine whilst removing duplicates, but am having trouble selecting only the latest entries.

To make this simple, I have create two data files (1.xls and 2.xls) and want to combine these to one table using the sequence and maximum date to show what the description is - why does this create multiple lines in the qvw attached?

Any help will be very gratefully received.

Hi Becky,

Check out the attachment and let me know if it is not the desired result.

In you script using group function (max) without group by clause might be the problem. Group by sequence would automatically result in distinct results.
