Timer and Kill process

Hi, I want to question about if is possible kill a process execute for the last instruction in qlikview when it late too much in finishing.

for example, code qlikview:

ODBC CONNECT TO DNSNAME (XUserId is XbWDQZFMHB, XPassword is BXMDdQNMPLdGHaFNDbPB);

SELECT INSTRUCTIONS (SQL)

My connection ODBC is executed successfully, but my "select instructions" takes too long to respond, more exactly, the data take too long for arrive to centralized server, because our application connects to more than 100 databases located in various parts of all the country (this extraction process work all days).

In summary, I want that, when the delay of information is greater than 10 minutes, the qlikview code can process the next instruction and delete (or stop it) the current instruction. It's possible? I'm trying with a timer, but I can't achieve make it work, still.

Maybe, we need a thread for run the timer, if this is the case, ¿how work it?

Thanks.
