Using Macro to get newly added data from database

Hi,

Can anyone help me in retrieving the newly added/updated record in database to Qlikview application using a single button click with Macros.

Or is there any other way to do it.??

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Leni Balakrishnan

One way would be to use EDX. One example can be found here:

I need to get the changed/added data without reloading the qlikview application.

Thanks,

Well.. currently your only option is Dynamic Data Update which is pretty tricky and nothing I would recommend for this.

Once QV 11.2 is released you could look at using Direct Discovery to allow the app to query the source database table directly.

Hi,

No good examples available, maybe if searching the community a bit.

It'll be a third party program.. either using a macro or an external piece of code to push the data in the session. Also keep in mind that the data will only exist in the session, not inserted in the actual document until it is reloaded and the data loaded from source according to the load script.
