Thank you -- Loannis.

Our network team figure out a way to do this. They use domain name to open a URL.

https://Domain Name/pdf/08OCT13.pdf

This way works very well.

When you are openning the PDF from Access Point using a file path, the file path must be correct for the user.  E.g. if the path in your app is "C:\MY.PDF" then then QV will be looking on the user's local hard drive for the PDF.  Try using a relative path or a network path.

Thanks -- Josh.

My file absolute path is:

C:\Program Files\Deepak\Analytics\Add On\Performance Dashboard\pdf\08OCT13.pdf

What's the relative path could be?

Sorry I have no idea on this.

Thank you very much.

\\<SomeServerNameOrIP>\Deepak\Analytics\Add On\Performance Dashboard\pdf\08OCT13.pdf

generally you need to create the folder on a network accessed drive and share it by name or IP

Thank you very much - Loannis.

I will pass your suggestion to our network team and see if they have any idea to figured it out.

Currently,

I put this file folder on Qlikview development folder. This setting may cause the problem.

Here is the detail:

Adobe Reader Path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe

File path:

C:\Program Files\Deepek\Analytics\Add On\Perfomance Dashboard\pdf\08OCT13.pdf

\\server name\pdf\08OCT13.pdf

Tried both path and only working on development. Cannot open file from access point.

Please let me know if you have further suggestions.

Thank you very much,

Dust.

Hi Dust.

simply putting the server name will not do it, you need to share a folder. Let your network team handle it, they are experts I am sure and know what to do.
