Hi,
I would like to stop a user from seeing any QlikView applications on our QlikView AccessPoint (or accessing them), we have linked our QMC to users via LDAP and we are in transaction between security by loop and reduced applications (with Named Users on the QMC) and section access, we also have a few applications open to all Authenticated Users.
Is there a way I can stop this user seeing the AccessPoint (or all apps, ideally without going into them individually to remove the access) without removing the AD access they have?
Currently on QlikView 11.2
Thanks in advance.
Dean
Hello Dean,
Configuring access to the actual AccessPoint (so the website, really), isn't possible by itself. At least not with a standard QlikView installation, since our web server itself doesn't have a login gate. All it does is authenticate the user and figure out what documents it is allowed to show.
So, to answer the question, you'd need to revoke access to the documents. Whether that means you need to remove them from a group they are in that has access, remove them individually if they have been added like this, or prevent access based on Section Access.
