Section Access

Hello together,

I´m using section access via an excel spreadsheet to control the access permission of my users. Now I´m trying to create a new permission for one of the users:

Screenshot2.png

The Person should see the SoldToBusinessPartner.ExternalSalesRepName "JW" and "CG" for Company 200 and 700. But for "JW" the person should just see the SoldToBP.Area2 "40". If I do it this way then Qlik View only shows data for SoldToBPArea2 "40" for SoldToBusinessPartner.ExternalSalesRepName "JW". It does not show any values anymore for "CG". Any idea what I´m doing wrong here?

Best regards

Carolin

If I delete "40" from SoldToBP.Area2 then I see both "CG" and "JW". I don´t understand this.

Hello,

I think that you have to create a section access on juste one field that concatenate SoldToBusinessPartner.ExternalSalesRepName and SoldToBP.Area2

You can read this for section access on multi axe

Introduction to Section Access

Hi,

I entered * instead of 40. The result is that I can see all SoldToBP.Area2 values for "JW" but now values for "CG".

Not applicable

Hi!

Try to use 'ALL' instead of *

Indead, when you put * in your section access, it means all values present in your section access and not in the data model.

You have to write all values of the field SoldToBP.Area2 for "CG".

I concatentated so that I could enter "JW40" as value. Now I only see "JW" for "40" but still not "CG".

Or just use 'ALL' instead of '*'
