iOS app locks user out after 1 incorrect password

I am trying to get in touch with support to open a question, but I thought it couldn't hurt to post this on here as well.

We're experiencing an issue where 1 incorrect password attempt on the iOS app actually fires 3 incorrect attempts against out server internally and as such immediately locks out the user.

Has anyone else experienced this?
