Dynamic QlikView Reports in MS Office Docs

Hello,

I was given a demonstration of functionality whereby a QlikView object such as a chart could be dragged and dropped into an MS Office document and then the report is able to be updated dynamically within the MS Office.

I've tried replicating that functionality myself but it doesn't currently work.

What setup such as Excel add-ins etc do I need to complete to get this to work? (I'm on V10.0)

Thanks

I'm not an expert at this but I believe you need to have the QlikView OCX installed for it to work.

Hi Scott,

What I did to get this to work, I right clicked on a Qlikview Object like this

I then opened an Excel spreadsheet and and right clicked like this and hit Paste Special

I was then asked to choose to paste as, I chose HTML and clicked OK, and that worked

Thanks Allan, that is useful to know.

I think the issue in my case may relate to the fact we're not yet

running QlikView on the Enterprise Server and that we need certain

services running in order to embed the objects in the MS Office docs.

Best regards

Scott

Hi Scott,

It works for me and I am using a single license, no Enterprise server, no Small Businees Edition Server and no Publisher
