Qlik Cloud - Backing up community sheets not created by self

We have a bunch of apps where users have added and created community sheets of their own and then shared with the rest of the users. To the point that this brings real value to the company and thus I feel (as an admin) the need to be able to offer a backup solution to these sheets in case of accidental deletion, overwrites and such.

I have tried exporting the apps, but when importing them I only get the community-sheets created by myself.

So my question is, as the platform offers a way of contributing and basically continued development of the apps once published, how do I secure these for unforeseen future events?

Hi @Peccus

Have you tried using Automations? If I'm not wrong, in Automations there is the option of List Sheets and Duplicate Sheet. In this way, you can duplicate in a loop all the sheets to be under your name and then, when you export and import the app, you will have them as backup.

Kind Regards

Daniel

Hi,

Thanks, I like the thinking outside the box there.

So then I would have to duplicate all community-sheets, export app, save to backup location, and then remove every sheet I duplicated (in order to not multiply my private sheets with every run). It feels messy... But it could work I guess, not really comfortable with deleting sheets in a production-app but that is more on my end.

If there are no better options, I will give this a swing.
