QlikView AJAX toolbar in WIndows 11

We discovered with a lot of trial and error and no real documentation, that when using the AJAX web client with a Windows 11 browser such as Chrome or Edge, the toolbar will have less choices on the toolbar, such as "Selections", if your laptop/desktop is touchscreen.

I wonder why the design choice was even made to reduce the size of the toolbar for a touchscreen. I would have wanted the opposite. So in the case of a touch screen I would have to touch the "More" arrow and then select selections. Sort of just makes it more difficult for no advantage?

I am not able to determine the rationale for design decisions that were taken years ago, but what sounds logical to me is that the touch-version toolbar was designed for tablets that had a limited resolution back in the day.
Consider that QlikView, because of its inherent limitations, was never great when it comes to responsive layouts, and some hard decisions had to be made to make it compatible with what was in the market at the time, without having much of a flexibility.

We developed Qlik Sense, with a new responsive interface, to go beyond QlikView's limitations and be able to work more seamlessly on all kind of devices including touch ones, and we concentrated on the new product when it comes to such matters.

We, of course, can encourage you to consider moving to our Qlik Cloud solution which is designed for handling more flexibly different kinds of screens and sizes.
