Qlikview dashboard hang with QV Document Analyzer

Qlikview dashboard size is 800 MB and when use the QV Document Analyzer then it is keep calculating and never come back although left for entire night.

what size of dashboard, i can analyze with QV Document?

If dashboard size is bigger then how i can analyze the document.

Probably you have a very big table (straight or pivot) that is taking too much time.

Reduce your qvw size using File / Reduce Data / Keep Possible values and try again

What version of DA are you running?

As Clever suggested, a first step might be to run against a reduced file.

Another option is to look at the DA Extract log found in

C:\Users\userid\Appdata\Local\Temp\qvwork\docname\DocumentAnalyzerExtract.log

to see what object was being processing when the hang occurred.

DA processes and calculates hidden objects and in some cases you may be hiding the object until some specific selections are made. DA doesn't make selections so you may have too much data.

In my case, v3.5, I do not have access to my APPDATA folder so DA fails.

Cannot open file 'C:\Users\marment\AppData\Local\Temp\7\qvwork\OeOrdersDataAnalysis_DA\docinfo.csv' The system cannot find the path specified.

I may try the reduced the data.

I've seen this problem before when the folder permissions get messed up. Try deleting the folder:

C:\Users\marment\AppData\Local\Temp\7\qvwork\OeOrdersDataAnalysis_DA
