Totals by date

I have a data with a large number of different inception and expiry dates, and I am trying to plot a graph showing my totals (exposure in this case) for any one date.  I have created a table called Date which is every day in the range of all my policies inception/expiry dates and done an interval match to link them. 

Has anyone tried anything like this before?
