- The physical size of a downloaded app
- The time to prepare download
- The time to download the app
- Download preparation timeout is now increased from 90 seconds to 5 minutes to allow download of large Apps
Known issues and limitations
The following issues and limitations were identified at release time. The list is not comprehensive; it does however list all known major issues and limitations.
- QSM support downloading large files for offline mode. To download large files successfully, QSM depend on several different parameters. The backend server should have sufficient capacity to manage the application download preparation within 5 minutes. This will depend on the server capacity and server load in combination with the application size. A large application of 500 MB may fail on a server with limited capacity with high workload. Make sure the server performance is good enough supporting application preparation within 5 minutes.
The network bandwidth should be sufficient to download the application within reasonable times limits, typically a 500 MB application should have at least a network capacity of 10Mb/s to download within 7 minutes.
When the application is downloaded and expanded the application must not exceed the device RAM memory capacity.
- Mobile push notifications not supported.
- Many big thumbnails (>=4.5MB) in a stream may cause performance issues in QSM for Blackberry when navigating using Home button in App overview.
- Third-party extensions are currently not supported on mobile devices, and the Qlik Trusted Extension Developer program does not accredit extensions for use on mobile devices. Depending on individual device specifications, mobile OS, and size of the Qlik Sense app, items generated using a third-party extension might fail to be visualized properly on a mobile device.
- If pressing the back button from a sheet while consuming a Sense app, Qlik Sense Mobile for BlackBerry might become unresponsive for up to one minute.
- When using a device running a jailbroken version of iOS, Qlik Sense Mobile for BlackBerry crashes with no warning message instead of being blocked.
- When long-pressing on a mailto link in a Sense app, only the default mail client option is provided even when BlackBerry Work is set as the main mail client.
- When the opening of an external link from Qlik Sense Mobile for BlackBerry is blocked based on the policy settings, a message notifies the user on why the action is forbidden. However, when a Sense app is opened in online version, the link is not open but no message is displayed.
- Links configured with the <_blank> scheme fail to open in a new browser tab and are not open at all.
- The lock selection feature is not available in Qlik Sense Mobile for BlackBerry April 2019.
- In devices running iOS 12, if a link in a Qlik Sense app is set to trigger the creation of an email, and the Data leakage prevention setting is disabled, the email client opens correctly, but only the recipient field is filled
- According to Blackberry documentation, "MD4 and MD5 are prohibited by FIPS, which means that access to NTLM- or NTLM2-protected web pages and files is blocked."
Therefore, UEM administrators should not enable FIPS mode and use NTLM-enabled QSE servers on the same time. Otherwise, users will not be able to login.
