Hello,
We create tabular reports and distribute them via email to Qlik Cloud users.
The app in question has section access.
Now, when I try to send the reports, I get the message: ‘Filter group has no access to app’.
According to the entries here, it seems to be due to the following issues:
For apps with section access, the Filter group has no access to app error occurs when the recipient(s)
is an internal user without access to the app
not a member of the space where the source reporting app exists
or a disabled tenant user.
The relevant users should receive the reports but not be able to see the area. Is there any way to set this up?
Greetings
I think that is limitation of it or the architecture is not designed that way.
Well as a workaround
1: Create 2 apps - 1 for reporting & 1 for end users
2: Reporting app should not contain any section access
3: End users app will take binary load of reporting app & write Section access script in that app only so that you have to maintain your core logic in 1 app only i.e. in reporting app.

Prashant Sangle
When a filter group has no access to an app, it usually means the assigned permissions or roles aren’t properly configured within the system’s access control settings. This can happen when a group isn’t linked to the required app policies, or when inherited permissions are overridden by stricter rules.

hi @Danijel
Section access put some limitations in tabular reporting. When an app has SA, reports can be sent only to users in the tenant with access to the space where the app resides. It is not possible to workaround this limitation that has been placed for security reasons.
