Limiting one user per session (Named Calls)

So I understand that https://community.qlik.com/t5/QlikView-Administration/Limiting-1-Session-per-User/td-p/450308 says that using named calls can lead you to limiting one session per user. What exactly is the process for that? I understand it is a rather old answer as well so is there some other way to do this?
