Qliksense/Qlikview Stop/Start multinode platform - proper order

Hi,

I woul like to know if there is a proper order for stopping all the node on a multinode platform fo qlikview and qliksense.

I've read many posts on community but don't fin clear answer. Let's me explain our organisation.

On Qlikview, we have :

- 1 server QV Publisher server which hosts the QMC

- Many servers QV Publisher

- Many servers QV Server

Do we have to stop publisher servers before QV Servers ? What about the QMC ?

On Qliksense we have :

- 1 central node (which hosts the repository database)

- many Proxy node

- many scheduler nodes

Do we have to stop the central node before ou after the RIM nodes ?

Same question when restarting the whole platform.

Do we have to begin with central node on QS ? The QMC server on QV ?

Thanks !

Hello,

For Sense this is still valid https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/Manual-Start-and-Stop-order-of-Qlik-Sense-services/ta-p/1713...

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/August2021/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_Depl...

If you stop you always stop the rim nodes first then last the central node. When you stop the other way round central first then all rim nodes.

In Qlikview newer versions you need to take care to start the service dispatcher first and then the rest of the services. Management Service and DSC should be first then the rest of the services.

Best regards

Sebastian

Hello Sebastian,

Thanks for your reply.

In other words ,

For Qliksense :

- Stop RIM Nodes first (no matters proxy or schedulers RIM node) and then stop Central Node.

- Start central node first, and then start all other RIM Nodes

For Qlikview:

Stop all the server except the one that hosts QMC (no matter QV Server or publisher) and then stop the QV Publisher that hosts our QMC

Start the QV Publisher that hosts our QMC and the stat all other Servers.

That's right ?
